Description
A decorative marble column (Italian, 19th century) retailed by Batterson, See & Eisele, NY, of tapered quadrangular form the column is composed of various types of colored marble. The square molded top and base are a mottled grey and white marble. The sides of the column are done in mottled Breche Violette with a triangular panel of rouge antique. The whole rests on a square plinth of Breche d’Alep.
