Description
A pair of Adam style tea tables (American, 19th century) composed out of mahogany. The matching tables have rectangular hinged folding tops, which open to reveal polished surfaces. The tops lift to expose several interior compartments and rest on a channeled frieze with shaped sides and a bowed front. The center of the frieze is decorated with an oval flowerhead paterae festooned with drapery, and the front two outset and rounded corners are also carved with flowerhead paterae. The tables are supported by four tapered fluted legs.
