Description
A painted northern Italian pedestal cabinet (Italian, 19th century) of block rectangular form with moldings picked out with gilding and relief flowers in color. The top and bottom have a gadrooned edge, below the top edge is a frieze carved in relief with sprays of flowering foliage with an inverted shell at center, the front stiles are carved with flowering vines, and the paneled doors with long stemmed vases containing flowering foliage encircled by vines. The whole is supported four short foliate feet.
