Description
A pair of late Louis XVI style marble and ormolu candelabras (French, 19th century) attributed to Raingo Frères of Paris (French, founded in 1823). The candelabras each have three candle branches chiseled with foliage, the branches end in drip pans and foliate candle nozzles, a central column is surmounted by a flambeau torch. Below the candle arms the bodies are of ovoid shape with blue turquin marble overlaid with ormolu in the form of three rams’ heads with a tasseled chain above three monopodium hoof feet. The candelabras stand on circular marble bases with ormolu beading raised on toupie feet.
