Description
A Louis XV style white-painted small settee (American, late 19th century) designed by Ogden Codman, Jr. (American, 1863-1951) and attributed to the manufacturer A. H. Davenport Co., Boston and East Cambridge, MA. The settee has a molded frame, scrolled armrests, and four cabriole legs carved at the knees with foliate decoration. The back, closed armrests, and seat are upholstered in beige cretonne, with a pattern of flowers and ribbon.
