A seven piece Louis XVI style giltwood furniture suite (French, late 19th century) composed of a settee (.1) and six chairs (.2-.7), each with an oval back accented with a bead band border above padded armrests within a scrolling frame on down swept acanthus-clad supports. The padded serpentine seats sit above conforming aprons raised on stop-fluted tapering legs. Upholstered in Louis XVI style floral tapestry with central scenes depicting animals and shepherds and shepherdesses.
