Description
A pair of Louis XVI style gilded bronze chenets (andirons) (French, c. 1900) modelled as swag-draped covered urns with flame finials. The urns are flanked by two large pinecones finials and raised on large oblong bases decorated with flowering vines, scrolling laurel, and beads. The base tops have bead band borders, the fronts center on putto masks. The andirons stand on toupie feet accented with leaf decoration.
