Description
A white ceramic urn with lid (Italian, early 20th century) raised on a fluted pedestal foot decorated with acanthus leaves. The bottom half of the urn is encircled with a raised grapevine and leaves. Two faun heads surrounded by acanthus leaves emanate from the grapevine on either side of the urn. Rows of beading and banding top the grapevine and decorate the urn below the top rim. The lid features four slender ram's heads joined to form a large handle sitting above a small grapevine that mimics the body of the urn.
