Description
A white bisque porcelain figure grouping (French, mid – late 18th century) made by the Niderviller Factory. The grouping depicts three classical female figures holding aloft a winged cherub draped with a floral garland. The cherub is perched on the shoulders of two of the women, while the third kneels behind and supports the floral chain. The grouping rests on a raised circular pedestal draped with laurels. This piece was part of Edward J. Berwind’s collection and is original to The Elms.
