Description
An owl form pitcher or cream jug (English, c. 1900) produced by Brannam Pottery, Barnstaple, England. Decorated in a green glaze, the pitcher has a single loop applied handle. The feathers of the owl are formed by simple incised decoration, the owl’s eyes are painted black. This pitcher likely belonged to David Maitland Armstrong (1836-1918) and descended through the family.
