Description
A Chippendale pole screen (American, c. 1750) composed out of mahogany with a needlework panel featuring a female figure dressed in the Turquerie style against a floral background in tones of cream/grey. The rectangular panel is supported by an adjustable brass bracket on a tall stem surmounted by an acorn finial. The tapered turned support ends in a bulbous knob raised on a tripod base, the knees of the legs are decorated with carved oak legs, the legs end in snake feet.
