Description
A pair of andirons (American, c. 1730) composed out of wrought iron and brass. The andirons are surmounted with brass finials in the form of polygonal knobs topped with spiral flames. The finials are supported by flat wrought iron tapered stems which terminate in bulbous vase forms raised on arched bases ending in two lily-pad feet and a rear cross bar.
