Description
An Iberian silk chalice veil (mid-18th century). The center is decorated with brightly colored flowers accented with square sequins and gold thread, the center is surrounded by a border of red, blue, and light pink fan-shaped flowers on a yellow meandering vine, the whole is on a square silk ground with a gold edge. The veil is housed in a later mahogany frame with an interior gilt border decorated with beadwork.
