Statue of a Warrior

c. 1890

A statue of a warrior in the Italian Renaissance style (Italian, c. 1890) composed of patinated cast bronze. The statue of the warrior is depicted at full length and is dressed in the garb of an ancient Roman solider, he holds a shield in his right arm while his other arm is bent at the elbow and rests on his hip. The figure stands on a shaped base decorated with a raised cartouche on the front and bas-relief Roman country scenes on the sides.
