A portrait entitled “Virginia Consuelo Smith Hutton” (American, dated 1958) by Maria de Kammerer (American, born in Hungry, 1903-1970). The subject, Virginia Consuelo Smith (American, b. 1930), the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt II and the grandniece of Theresa Fair Oelrichs of Rosecliff, is depicted at three-quarter length against a neutral background. She faces forward and wears a low shouldered white satin evening dress. The canvas is signed and dated on the bottom left corner. It is housed in a bleached, gilded rococo style frame with carved floral motifs.
