Description
A large carved mountain scene (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th century) composed of green jade (nephrite). Carved on either side in deep relief are scenes of a hunt taking place in a mountain landscape, archers and men on horseback wielding weapons charge forth after deer, birds, and even a tiger. The whole is raised on an oblong teakwood stand carved with openwork foliage.
