Description
Two female figurines (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th century) composed of carved green jade, each is raised on a removable ivory base. The female figures, representing deities (possibly a representation of Guanyin), are dressed in flowing robes, and each holds a vase in their hands, by their feet is a raised lotus bud and they stand on lotus mounds. The ivory bases are carved with scrolling waves and aquatic creatures such as turtles, frogs, fish, crabs, and shells.
