Description
A small rectangular table screen (Chinese, 20th century) composed of jade in a wooden base. The rectangular jade screen is inlaid with mother-of-pearl, bowenite, coral, and painted in gold with a scene of a young couple floating in a boat collecting lotus blossoms next to a pavilion. The reverse is painted with a gilt apocryphal seal-form script (zhuanshu) date mark. The carved wooden base is painted on the front in gold with trailing floral motifs.
