Description
A grayish-white jade (nephrite) pomander (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 18th century) with some rust toned inclusions. The four lobed body of the pomander is carved with a finely executed openwork design in two layers of floral scrolls within a ruyi head band, at the ends are swastikas and stylized characters. The pomander is strung on a gold cord that ends in a tassel.
