A figure of Liu Hai and a three-legged toad (Chinese, 20th century) composed out of pink and green tourmaline. Liu Hai, a god of wealth and prosperity popular in the Daoist tradition, is shown here riding a wave with his three-legged money toad (Chan Chu) who holds a string of coins in its mouth. The whole is raised on a carved wooden stand.
