Description
A figural carving of two opposing fu dogs (Chinese, 20th century) composed out of dark green jade, the whole is raised on a conforming teakwood stand. The lion like dogs, popularly known in the West as fu dogs (or foo dogs), are posed standing opposite each other. The smaller of the two has its front two paws pressed against the chest of the other, which is on all fours with its head turned away.
