Description
A pair of Chinese export recumbent deer (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, 1680-1700) composed out of porcelain. The deer are posed sitting, with their heads turned looking over their shoulder. They are glazed yellow with white spots, black eyes, and brown hooves. On their heads are two small holes for horns (now missing). Each figurine sits on a stepped stand covered in purple velvet.
