Description
A compote (English, 19th century) manufactured by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons. Decorated in green, brown, and yellow glazes, the majolica compote is in the form of three dolphins raised on a triangular base, their intertwined tails form the stem supporting the compote dish which has an openwork Greek key border. The underside is partially impressed “WEDGWOOD” along with an unintelligible partially impressed date code.
