Description
A platter (English, 1882) made by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons. The oval majolica platter has a scalloped edge with a green border, the body is decorated with a raised design of grapes, leaves, and vines naturalistically colored against a white ground. The underside is impressed “WEDGWOOD” along with the date code “ZBK”, indicating an 1882 manufacture date, and the single letters “M” and “R”, it is numbered in red with “2744 / 7.”
