Description
A transferware plate (English, 1860-1900) decorated in the “Asiatic Pheasants” pattern, produced by Wedgwood & Co. The plate is decorated with a blue on white transfer pattern of birds and flowers. The Asiatic Pheasants pattern was one of the most popular patterns of the Victorian era. The underside of the plate is impressed “WEDGWOOD & Co.” and stamped with a blue floral scroll mark reading “THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS / Asiatic Pheasants / WEDGWOOD & Co.”
