Description
A lidded bowl (Chinese, Qing Dynasty, 19th century) in the form of a melon or pomegranate. The lid is decorated with a pierced frieze of intertwining gold and green leafed branches, it is topped with a stem finial. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with gold foliage against a red ground. The underside is marked with the characters of an unidentified reign mark.
