Description
A pair of floral still lifes by an unknown artist (Dutch, mid-18th century). Each still life depicts a large overflowing bouquet of wild flowers within an ormolu-mounted black urn. In the background are towering antique ruins against a blue cloud-swept sky. The works are unsigned and housed in a reeded gilt wash frame accented intermittently with acanthus leaves.
