Description
A jardiniere (French, c. 1910) produced by Samson & Cie in the style of Sevres. The oval lobed body of the jardiniere features double scrollwork handles on either end. The sides are decorated in the “Rose Pompadour” color and gold X-form trellis work with garlands and wreaths of pastel flowers. The underside is marked in underglaze blue with a pseudo-Sevres mark containing the letter “H” with the letter “M.” in gold.
