Description
A pair of armchairs in Gothic Style (French, c. 1875) with frames composed of oak. The arched back is ornately carved with floral and quatrefoil designs organized in a grid. The peak of the back is comprised of a medallion featuring a carved crest containing fleur-de-lis, surmounted by a crown, and surrounded by tassels. Square armrests and legs are decorated with carved grape vines and supported by a pierced decorative stretcher. Both chairs have dark green velvet upholstered arm rests and seats trimmed with matching tassels.
