Description
A George II style repoussée salt cellar (English, c. 1875) made of silver. The almond-shaped body of the cellar is trimmed with a beaded band and gadroons, while two small C-scroll handles are attached at each pointed side. Depicted on the bottom of the bowl is a bucolic landscape setting of a bridge, boat, trees, and birds.
