Description
A miniature letter holder (Dutch, c. 1845) made of silver. The holder features an arched pierced back above three open compartments. Stamped on the bottom are three marks, one of the letter “L” for the date, the other three “X”s under a crown for the town of Amsterdam, and finally an unidentified maker’s mark of a crown above a heart with an unknown shape within it.
