Description
A Japonesque glass vase (French, c. 1878) after design by Cristalleries Baccarat (Baccarat Crystal Works) with incised gilt design of storks and the sun by Francois Rousseau. Decorated in imitation of Japanese gold lacquer decoration with a crane, placed asymmetrically to one side, looking up at the sun from a lush marsh.
