Description
An American Chippendale marble top mahogany console table (c. 1755-1760) made in Newport, RI and attributed to John Goddard. The original deeply scrolled serpentine apron raised on four large cabriole legs, the front legs having boldly carved ball and claw feet and the back legs terminating in pad feet. A later, conforming "King of Prussia" gray-blue marble top with a molded edge, uncut at the back.
