Description
A white marble portrait bust of Mr. Cornelius Vanderbilt (American, c. 1885) attributed to John Quincy Adams Ward. Vanderbilt is depicted with his gaze directed to the right, wearing an ermine-trimmed robe over his shoulders. The bust sits on a shaped socle carved with scrolls and a cartouche bearing the initials "CV."
