Description
A Louis XIV Ormolu-mounted ebonized and blue-died horn, brown tortoiseshell, ebony and brass premiere and contrepartie boulle marquetry regulateur (tall case clock) (French) attributed to workshop of André Charles Boulle. The carcass largely early 18th century, with modificationsand later partial mounting done in London during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hood mount of infant boy with Gallic cock by Jules Allard et ses Fils. The movement signed on the reverse "Archard/70. Soh. Audley St./London."
